​​​​​​The thing I hear over and over again from casting people both here in Chicago and on the coasts is that they just want a headshot that

 

                                              looks like you.

 

Since it's impossible to say every interesting thing about you in just one photo, don't try! Your resume tells them a lot, as does your audition. Hopefully you'll find out what they want for that particular audition and nail it then.​



There's no point in trying to anticipate all the "types" you could be appropriate for. So as corny as it may sound - be yourself! It's one of the only times you don't have to worry what "THEY" want. It's my job as a photographer to help you do this, and to use my intuition to snap the right moments - the moments where you reveal part of yourself. The most appealing pictures are always of people who just look confident and relaxed. This will pop off the page and into the heads of casting people more than anything!

That being said, there are a few things you can do to prepare for your headshots. Here are a few tips to help make it easier for you. We'll go over all of this in person when you come in for a consultation.
